会員の皆様、
6月25日（日）に行われた懇親会には約４０名が出席し、レストラン・マーガレットクオからの温かいおもてなしによる中華コース料理に、皆さん舌鼓を打ちました。会員同士はもちろんですが、日本人会に興味がある方も参加されていて活発に交流が行われ、自己紹介により様々な趣味やビジネスに共通の話題を見つけた後は、さらにテーブルでの歓談が弾みました。飛び入りでウクレレ演奏を披露された宮原ロイさんは、即興で会場を盛り上げてくださり、笑い、拍手の渦となりました。
初の試みでしたが、食事を伴ったこのような交流会を定期的にしてほしいというご要望をたくさん頂いております。参加された新会員の方にとっては、新しい出会いや貴重な情報を得る機会となって喜んでいただけたようで、「初夏の懇親会」は大成功を収めました。 どうぞ参加者の笑顔の写真をご覧ください。

Dear Members,
We had about 40 attendees at the Party on June 25 and totally enjoyed experiencing authentic Chinese cuisine expertly served by Margaret Kuo’s. Current members as well as people who are interested in joining JAGP mingled together and enjoyed lively conversation. Mr. Roy Miyahara did a ukulele and song performance that brought a cascade of laughter and applause, even though it was a last-minute idea.
This was our first attempt at an “Early Summer Get Together Party” and it was very successful. We received a strong positive reaction and a lot of requests to have an event like this in the future. I was so glad that our new members were happy to meet new friends and receive useful information. The smiling pictures show how happy and engaged people were.
