私たちはアジア人コミュニティの人々に対する暴力と嫌悪を非難します。そして、喪失と苦痛の中にいる犠牲者、生存者、その家族の方々に追悼の意を表します。 昨今の暴力事件以前より、アメリカにいるアジア人の多くは大量の失業、最前線で働く労働者の安全性、不安定な住宅事情や地域の中小企業の破綻などに加え、反アジア人種差別の急増に悩まされてきました。
最近のアジア人に対する暴行は、COVID-19パンデミックという特に困難な状況をさらに苦しいものにしています。
2019年に司法省が記録した305件の反アジア系ヘイトクライムと比較して、The Stop AAPI Hate報告センターは2020年に3,795件以上のヘイトインシデントを記録しており、2021年の1月と2月だけで500件以上のインシデントが発生しています。
多くの暴力事件が女性と高齢者を標的にしていることを考えると、この急増は極めて深刻な状況です。 私たちは団結します。 このような人種差別は私たちのみならず、全てのコミュニティに影響を及ぼすことを知っています。私たちは根本的な原因を対処し、人種の枠組みを超え全ての人々が繁栄できるコミュニティを中心とする長期的な解決方法を見出さなければなりません。私たちは分裂ではなく団結することで力が生まれ、未来に繋がっていくことを知っています。

We stand together.
We denounce violence and hate against members of the Asian communities. We stand in solidarity with victims, survivors, and families who have suffered loss and pain.
Before the most recent violence, many Asian in America were dealing with mass unemployment, safety risks to frontline workers, insecure housing, and the shuttering of local small businesses, in addition to a surge in anti-Asian racism. These recent assaults have made the especially difficult circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic even more painful.
Compared to the 305 anti-Asian hate crimes recorded by the Department of Justice in 2019, The Stop AAPI Hate reporting center documented over 3,795 hate incidents in 2020, with 500+ incidents having occurred in just January and February of 2021.
This increase is worrisome given how much of the violence is targeting women and the elderly.
We stand together.
We recognize that racism affects all of us and all of our communities. We must invest in long-term community-centered solutions that create spaces for cross-racial healing that address underlying causes and create ways for all to thrive. We believe that our strength is in unity, not division, and that our histories and our futures are intertwined.
We also recognize and celebrate that our organization is not homogenous. With that recognition comes an internal reflection on our quiet voices throughout the recent oppression of other marginalized groups in the United States. Although, it is not our mission to tackle all injustice, it is our mission to support those within our community.
