新年会2025報告 2025 New Year’s Party Report

会員の皆様、

2025年の新年会は、The Drexelbrookにて1月19日に開催されました。当日は雪の影響もありましたが、多くの方がご参加くださり、また準備にご尽力いただいた皆様のおかげで、無事に楽しいひとときを過ごすことができました。皆様の温かいご協力に、心より感謝申し上げます。

例年通り、年次総会が新年会に先立ち行われました。今年はプロジェクターなしでの進行となりましたが、皆様のご協力のおかげでスムーズに進めることができました。また、今後はより多くの方にご参加いただけるよう、新年会前にZoomで総会を開催する案や、Zoom参加者へのラッフルチケット配布のアイデアも出されました。皆様のご意見を参考にしながら、よりよい形を模索していきたいと思います。

新年会は、森和也（もりかずや）在ニューヨーク日本国総領事館首席領事による新年のご挨拶と、日本酒での乾杯で華やかに幕を開けました。The Drexelbrookのケータリングによるお食事も楽しんでいただきましたが、一部の方から前菜やお寿司の量に関するご意見をいただきました。来年はより満足度の高いメニューをご提供できるよう、事前の確認を強化してまいります。一方で、スタッフの皆様のサービスは大変素晴らしく、心のこもった対応をしていただきました。

エンターテインメントは今年も大いに盛り上がりました。特にタレントショーでは、多くの皆様が素晴らしいパフォーマンスを披露してくださり、会場全体が笑顔と拍手に包まれました。また、昨年ご好評をいただいた「Human Bingo」など、参加者同士の交流を深める企画のリクエストもございました。来年度のプログラム検討の一助とさせていただきたいと思います。

会場についても、広々とした快適な空間や充実した音響設備に関して多くの好評をいただきました。その一方で、受付テーブルが寒かったとのご意見もありましたので、来年はより快適な配置を検討いたします。また、雪の影響を考慮し、今後は事前に予備日を設定することも視野に入れていきます。

今年もラッフルでは、多くの会員の皆様や企業のご協賛により、豪華な景品をお楽しみいただきました。ご寄付いただいた皆様、そしてラッフルにご参加くださった皆様に、心より御礼申し上げます。

新年会の最後は、船木会長による三本締めで締めくくられました。その後も皆様には片付けをお手伝いいただき、スムーズに終了することができました。改めて、皆様のご協力に深く感謝申し上げます。

来年もまた、皆様とともに楽しい新年会を迎えられることを心より楽しみにしております。今後ともどうぞよろしくお願いいたします。

フィラデルフィア日本人会新年会コミッティ

Dear Members,

The 2025 New Year’s Party was held at The Drexelbrook on January 19. Despite the snowy weather, many people attended, and thanks to everyone’s efforts in preparation, we were able to enjoy a wonderful and memorable time together. We sincerely appreciate your warm support and cooperation.

As in previous years, the annual general meeting was held before the New Year’s Party. This year, we proceeded without a projector, but everything went smoothly thanks to everyone’s cooperation. To encourage greater participation in the future, we discussed the idea of holding the general meeting via Zoom before the New Year’s Party and distributing raffle tickets to Zoom participants. We will continue to explore ways to improve the event based on your feedback.

The New Year’s Party commenced with a New Year’s greeting from Mr. Kazuya Mori, Chief Consul of the Consulate General of Japan in New York, followed by a celebratory sake toast. Guests enjoyed catering from The Drexelbrook, though we received some feedback regarding the quantity of appetizers and sushi. We will work to enhance the menu and confirm details in advance to improve satisfaction next year. Meanwhile, the service provided by the staff was outstanding, with warm and attentive hospitality.

The entertainment segment was a great success again this year. The talent show, in particular, featured many impressive performances, filling the venue with smiles and applause. Following the positive reception of last year’s Human Bingo, we hope to continue incorporating engaging activities that foster connections among attendees.

The venue received high praise for its spacious, comfortable environment and excellent sound system. However, we also received feedback that the reception table area was cold. We will consider a better setup for next year. Additionally, given the potential impact of snow, we are considering setting a snow date (backup date) in advance.

The raffle was once again a highlight, with many wonderful prizes generously donated by our members and supporting businesses. We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed and participated.

The event concluded with a ceremonial Sanbon-jime led by President Funaki. Many attendees also helped with cleanup, ensuring a smooth wrap-up. We deeply appreciate your cooperation.

We look forward to celebrating another joyous New Year’s Party with you all next year. Thank you for your continued support and participation.
