Japanese Association of Greater Philadelphia Membership
The Japanese Association of Greater Philadelphia is a non-profit organization serving the Japanese community in the Greater Philadelphia region since 1964.
Our Mission is:
◆ to promote friendship amongst Japanese residing in the region.
◆ to provide information and counseling to Japanese newcomers to the region.
◆ to support and help Japanese students studying in the region.
◆ to provide continued care to the aged Japanese living alone in the region.
◆ to hold programs and activities for the purpose of promoting the understanding of Japanese culture as well as American culture.
◆ to promote exchange between Japanese and American residents through cultural and educational programs.
◆ to provide Hojin Hogo Service – Japanese residents and travelers support program for Greater Philadelphia.
◆ to provide support to the visiting consulate service by Consulate-General of Japan from New York.

◆ One-day Consulate Service
Twice a year, we provide a service at which Japanese citizens can obtain or renew their passports and submit other documents for the Japanese government in Philadelphia instead of going to New York. For members, JAGP gives you support.
◆ HelpLine Service
The Helpline provides medical, mental health, and legal advice or/and consult to support the lives of our members.
◆ The Consulate-General of Japan in New York provides Japanese protection services for residents and visitors in partnership with us.
◆ You can post the information you want to share in the newsletter and email free of charge. Please note that business-related information is considered as an advertisement and there are fees, except moving, garage sale, and flea markets.

- Senior (65 and over) $25
- Student* Free
*A graduate student sponsored by a corporation or government fellowship should apply as an Individual member.
