クリスマスコンサート2025 Chorus Group Christmas Concert 2025
12月7日、フィラデルフィア日本人キリスト教会にて、クリスマスコンサートを開催いたしました。当日は、今夏よりカーティス音楽院で研鑽を積んでいる田附一勇（たつき・サム）さんと、当会コーラスグループが出演し、クリスマスソングを日本語と英語を織り交ぜて披露しました。会場の皆様と一緒にシングアロングも楽しみ、終始、温かなひとときを共有することができました。
田附さんとお母様によるデュエットは大変素晴らしく、またコーラス部メンバーのMartinさんによるソロ「O Holy Night」も、心に深く響く演奏でした。さらに、当会メンバーの近藤さんが率いるバンドによる「This Christmas」「Last Christmas」「Feliz Navidad」の演奏もあり、会場は笑顔と音楽に包まれました。
当日は持ち寄り昼食会も行われ、音楽とともに、参加者同士の交流も深まるひとときとなりました。

フィラデルフィア日本人会 コーラスグループ
On December 7, we held a Christmas Concert at the Japanese Christian Church of Philadelphia (JCCP). The concert featured Isamu (Sam) Tatsuki, who has been studying at the Curtis Institute of Music since this summer, along with the JAGP Chorus Group. A variety of Christmas songs were performed in both Japanese and English, and we also enjoyed a sing-along with the audience, sharing a warm and joyful time together.
The duet performed by Mr. Tatsuki and his mother was truly wonderful. In addition, a solo performance of “O Holy Night” by the Chorus Group member Martin was deeply moving. The program also included lively performances of “This Christmas,” “Last Christmas,” and “Feliz Navidad” by a band led by JAGP member Mr. Kondo, filling the venue with smiles and music throughout the event.
The concert was accompanied by a potluck lunch, which provided a great opportunity for participants to connect and enjoy fellowship alongside the music.

| 会員の皆様、 私たちコーラスグループは、昨年末から年始にかけて3つのイベントに参加させていただきました。 AATJ Teachers Award Luncheon（11月23日） まずは、11月23日にコンベンションセンターで開催されたAATJ（全米日本語教育学会） Teachers Award Luncheonにて「虹」「ふるさと」「山のいぶき」など数曲を歌わせていただきました。「虹」は森山直太朗と御徒町凧が作詞・作曲を手掛け、信長貴富編曲の大曲で特にリズムが難しく、ピアノを弾きながらの指揮は難しかったので、急遽指揮をバッタ先生にお願いしてのお披露目になりました。昼食の途中にもかかわらず、アメリカ各地から集まった教育者の皆さまが手を止め、真剣に耳を傾けてくださいました。中には、懐かしい日本の歌にじんわりと涙を流される方もいらっしゃったそうです。あんなに真剣に私達の歌を聴いてくださって、ほんとうに有難かったです。こんな素敵な機会をくださったAATJの皆さま、またご縁をつないでくださったバッタ先生、本当にありがとうございました。 |
| JCCP クリスマスコンサート（12月1日） また、12月1日には、OverbrookにあるJCCP（フィラデルフィア日本人教会）にてクリスマスコンサートを開催いたしました。クリスマスの歌を数曲歌い、メンバーの近藤充、順子夫妻には歌とギターの素敵な演奏もしていただきました。コンサートの締めくくりには、会場の皆さんと一緒にシングアロングで楽しいひと時を過ごすことができました。企画をしてくださったJCCPの松野牧師、ありがとうございました。 |
| JAGP 新年会（1月19日） そして年が明けた1月19日には、The Drexelbrookにて開催された当会新年会に参加しました。雪予報のなかでしたが、多くの方が参加されました。こちらでも「虹」を歌わせていただき、さらにシングアロングで会場の皆さんと一緒に「ふるさと」を歌い、心温まるひとときを共有しました。2025年新年会のご盛会、誠におめでとうございます。 |
| 2月から新しいシーズンがスタート！ 2月からは心機一転、コーラスの練習を月2回で再開いたします。新しい曲は「ひとつの朝」というドラマティックな大曲。男声メンバーが少し増えてきたので、男声が映えるこの歌にチャレンジすることになりました。もし歌うことがお好きな方がいらっしゃいましたら、是非一緒に歌いましょう！歌うのは中学生の時以来、という方でも大丈夫。オーディションはありませんし、ひらがなが読めれば大丈夫です。歌うことで若返り効果も期待出来ますし、素敵な仲間との出会いは何より貴重 です。 A New Season Begins in February! As we welcome February, we are excited to restart our chorus practice twice a month with a fresh mindset! Our new song for this season is “Hitotsu no Asa”, a dramatic and powerful piece. With more male voices joining our group, we have decided to take on this song, which beautifully showcases the richness of male vocals. If you love singing, why not join us? Even if you haven’t sung since middle school, don’t worry! No auditions are required, and as long as you can read hiragana, you’re good to go. Singing is not only a great way to rejuvenate your spirit, but also a wonderful opportunity to connect with amazing people.
