去る2月22日、フィラデルフィア日本語補習授業校にて、生徒たちによる小噺会が開催され、多くの観客が集まり、大成功を収めました。 このイベントは、補習校に通う生徒たちの発表を中心に、ご両親、当会「和の交流会シニア」グループのメンバー、補習校のクラスメート、そして何よりも、この小噺会を成功へと導いた指導担当の先生方の素晴らしい努力の賜物でした。 発表した生徒たちは座布団の上に座り、日本語と英語を交えてユーモラスに小噺を披露しました。観客からの温かい拍手を受け、皆とても嬉しそうな表情を見せていました。 なお、この小噺会への参加は、「和の交流シニア」グループの2月のアクティビティの一環としても行われました。

Dear Members,
On February 22nd, a Rakugo (comic storytelling) Performance was held at the Japanese Language School of Philadelphia (JLSP), attracting a large audience and achieving great success. The event was made possible thanks to the dedicated efforts of the students of JLSP who performed, their parents, members of the JAGP Seniors’ Harmonious Exchange (Wa no Koryu) group, their classmates, and of course, the instructors who guided the students to success. The participating students sat on zabuton (Japanese floor cushions) and humorously delivered their stories in both Japanese and English. They were delighted to receive enthusiastic applause from the audience. This Rakugo Performance was also part of the February activities of the JAGP Seniors’ Harmonious Exchange (Wa no Koryu).
